Pierce County Start! Heart Walk

What:  4.3 or 2 mile non-competitive walk to encourage companies and employees to get involved in the American Heart Association's first against heart disease and stroke.  This event is designed to bring public awareness to physical activity and a heart-healthy lifestyle, while at the same time raising critical dollars needed to fund the American Heart Association's mission.

When:  Saturday, October 6
             7:30 AM -- Registration
             8:30 AM -- Opening Ceremonies
             9 AM -- Walk beings
             10 AM -- Post-Walk Festival

Where:  Downtown Tacoma, 10th & A Street

Goal:  $400,000 to be used for funding critical research and education in the areas of heart diseases and stroke
