What: Free to Breathe Lung Cancer 5k run/1mile walk

This is the first Free to Breathe 5k run/walk in Tacoma. All proceeds from this event benefit the National Lung Cancer Partnership's research, education and awareness programs.

*  Packet pick up will also be available at the starting line on the morning of the race.

What:  With the departure of the FSRC Pacific Rim 1/2 Marathon in 2003, Tacoma has had a void in the race calendar in August - specifically in the Half Marathon distance. Currently only two other races exist in the local area of this popular distance:  the Tacoma City 1/2 Marathon (May) and the Fort Steilacoom Kilometer/Mile Resolution Series (January-March).  With the debut of the Tacoma Narrows Half Marathon, we intend to fill that void.
